My friend just showed me this quote she found. I felt that it was very inspiring and thought that i should share it with you guys
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
We are all special, no matter who we are. Let the uniqueness shine, because that is what makes us different; individuals.

Don't Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You might succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worse, that you must not quit.

Stressed!

It's not right of me to get stressed. I'm only in yr 10 and it should be hardly anything compared to the years ahead, but i can't help it. It's only the start of the year but i'm already crying because of the load and load of homework piled up upon me. It's suffocating me, sucking me in.
I don't know how my big sister can do it. I just started attending tutoring for maths and english, plus the fact that there is school work to get through and i am stressed as hell. How my sister was able to survive the year is beyond me.
I don't know what to do. I know i should take things slow, take it one at a time, but that's not working. There is just so much to be done in so little time. I have a science test coming up that i need to prepare for, 2 sets of homework from both english and maths tutoring not to mention the tons of h/w waiting for me at school. It doesn't help that i keep procrastinating either. I don't know what to do.
Background Knowledge
Hey!
I figured that while there is not much drama happening in my life, i should introduce myself properly so you will get things later on in the road.
My name is Vivien. 'Aurora' is the name i like :). I am still attending high school and live in a 2 storey house with my 3 sisters (2 older, 1 younger), mum and dad and my grandma. I have a huge, crazy family with lots and lots of relatives, ranging from normal to bitchy, strict auntie and uncles.
I love my friends and family, despite everything.
I like to watch dramas, variety shows and tv shows. I love listening to music, anything that sounds good! I like reading too, but i like reading the stories on the internet more than the books, especially when they are romance stories :D
I love eating ice cream, chocolate and lollies! I hate mushrooms, celery, eggplant and others that i can't be bothered to list.
I can be pretty weird sometimes, especially around my friends. I make the lamest jokes and the lamest comebacks. I get high in maths, which is weird...i know. Um...i love to have fun and hate awkward situations.
I like the thought of being a thoughtful and kind friend who knows what to do when a friend or family member comes crying to me, but unfortunately, i am not like that. Instead, i totally freeze up and feel awful inside for not knowing how to comfort them.
In some ways, i think i am cold hearted. I am not able to express how i feel about others. I can't say i love you out loud without sounding like i don't mean it and i get awkward hugging most people.
That's all...i think. I hope after reading this, you guys got to know me...even a little better.
Have a nice weekend!

Too nice?
First of all, hi all! This is the first time i have made a blog. I hope you guys will not find my posts boring and will give comments that could maybe help me.
Here it goes:
A few days ago, my friend and i were buying time before tutoring after school. We talked about our schools, people in it, our friends...basically anything. (My friend is from a different high school to me).
We somehow reached the topic of niceness. And she told me that i was too nice for my own good, and that i would be 'stomped on', as she so kindly put it. She explained that i always saw the good in everyone and helped them without even questioning their motives. To prove her point, she asked me to check her maths h/w. I, of course, agreed, thinking she really did want me to check her maths work. But after checking the WHOLE thing, she told me that she didn't really need me to check it, but was just trying to prove her point.
She told me that i needed to be bitchier. But i don't agree with her. If i became bitchy, wouldn't i just become a horrible person? Even when we were bitching that day, i felt sort of bad. I would totally regret my actions if the person found out. I wouldn't want to lose a friend because i talked about her behind her back. So why would she want me to be bitchy?
Actually, i can be a bitch. I am a bitch, but i don't like to express those bitchy thoughts out loud as i don't want to rub off the wrong way. It's like i have two personalities: the friendly, nice, smiling and talkative side of me, you will find at school or hanging with friends but at home, you will find the short-tempered, jealous and absolutely horrible side of me. I hate the bad side of me, it makes me feel dirty, ugly and horrible.
So what i want to know is: am i really nice? Should i be bitchier, like my friend told me to? And if i should, how much bitchier should i be?
