School tomorrow :(

Hehe...that is me...not that I am literally doing that. More like...it's what I feel like doing. My lord, school is TOMORROW! I cannot believe it! I barely did anything in the holidays and suddenly it's all over!!

I feel really scared, but what can I do? It's not like I can hop into a time machine and go back in time so I can have a longer holidays. Although....if anyone does have that, could you give me a call? Haha..kidding.

I have currently made myself another Mission. I wasn't gonna do it, but my cousin, who is currently staying with us for a week while her family has gone of holidays (coz she is in yr 12 and shouldn't go on holiday during such an important time) wanted me to write one because I think she said it was "inspirational"?? Yeah..so I wrote one and hopefully I'll be as productive as I was yesterday.

Also...I can't believe it but I am turning 16 in 2 DAYS! My lord, I cannot believe it! Yesterday night before I was about to go to sleep, my grandma suddenly passes me a red pocket and I was just like....okayyy...

And man, I woke up this morning with red, teary eyes. And no it was not because I was crying, it was because I was sooo tired. I've been staying up until like 2 am in the morning these pass few days and I think it's finally taking it's toll on me. I originally wanted to wake up at 9 this morning like I did yesterday but when I saw my red teary eyes, i decided i needed more sleep and set my alarm to 10. When I closed my eyes, I had to close it tightly to let the tears flow out. When I woke up in the next hours, my eyes were much better...in fact, they looked bigger than they normally did...

Anyways...I've now wasted more than half of my break writing in this blog...again. I should really extend my breaks for longer but meh...I'm stingy, sue me :P

Oh and before I forget, I would like to acknowledge that the photo I have on this post and the one which I posted a yesterday are not mine and that I took them from google images. So props to whoever took the one before and whoever made this one.

Have a lovely day :)

My hand hurts

Hey,

Man...my hand hurts like hell for writing for nearly 2 hours. Who knew writing out two and a half pages of typed notes would be so hard and long!

So tired man. But I promised myself I'd treat myself to a movie so I'm gonna go and pop it in now.

Night night people

Nearly done!

Haha...that would be me! Except...the scenery is too good to be true.

I have now nearly completed my mission! It was tough and quite tiring but it was productive and I liked it very much!

I feel really good finishing a good amount of work today. I feel like I have accomplished something for the first time in a long time and that makes me very very happy.

Anyways..I'm gonna go help out with dinner. My break might be slightly extended seeing as how I couldn't really estimate when dinner would be. I'll just continue after dinner and do as much as I can.

I hope you guys are all have a productive day as well. Or just a nice day :)

Happy Holidays

My Mission (in detail)

Hello again :)

So as you would have read in my earlier post, I have set myself a mission for today.

It all started yesterday when suddenly just as I was about to go to sleep...at like 2 in the morning :P, I really felt like doing something about my procrastination.

Man..have I told you about my procrastination? It's really bad. Like...at the start of the holidays, I had set in my mind all these things that I had to get done. And I was feeling good about it and everything. But...day after day I would do none of it and only sat at home, watching dramas, bumming around, eating, sleeping and oh, did i mention eating? :P And like, sometimes I would wake up and feel like working hard and I would make up a list of things to do in my head and I would be so determined to do it. But by the end of the day, I would've done nothing. And I would brush it aside, saying I still had time.

But yesterday night, I realised that I didn't have time. There was only 2 days of holiday left and I was over my head with work that needed to be done. I was sick and tired of always setting myself goals and never actually achieving them. Am I really that sad? Can I really not complete even the simplest of simplest goals? If I couldn't even do these, what would I do when I had bigger, better goals? Would I just cast them aside like I did to the small goals? And then what? Where would I be in life? No where.

So I decided that something needed to be done. Something needed to change. So I couldn't do stuff by just thinking about it in my head. I should do something different. Try something new. I remembered my friend Lucy mentioning in her blog once that she loved to make "to-do lists" and cross out things when she'd finished them. It's something that helped her to get her things done. Of course, I didn't exactly do that because I knew it wouldn't work. The stuff I needed to get done took heaps of time and if I tried to finish them one at a time, I would never finish.

I decided that I needed a timetable to keep me on track. So yesterday, I spent a little bit of time writing out a draft timetable. And this morning, I refined it a little bit.

So my timetable looks something like this:

Mission
10-12: Japanese
12-12:30: Break
12:30-2:30: Maths
2:30-3: Break
3-4:30: Modern History
4:30-5: Break
5-7: Business
7-7:30: Break
7:30-11: Unfinished Hw
11~: Free time :)

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!
DO NOT STOP!
DO NOT GET DISTRACTED!
FOCUS!
GO! GO! GO!
AZA AZA FIGHTING!

I know, it's rather rough. But it's what I'm using as a sorta guide to get me moving and working. During my breaks, I can either shower, eat or bludge.

So I woke up at 9 this morning (the earliest I've woken up in a while) and brushed my teeth and had my breakfast. I still had some time left before the mission actually began so I sorta cleaned up a little, set what I was going to start with on my desk and played a little bit of piano :P

And then it began. I've completed japanese and maths. But no, I have not totally and utterly completed everything of each of those subjects coz I would need longer than 2 hours to complete that. But I'm feeling really proud of myself. For actually being productive and actually getting work done. During breaks I have had a shower (which I realised, takes me nearly half an hour! I really need to speed things up in there) and had lunch. I found that it's not that hard for me to get stuck into stuff once I get my head round to it. Although, I can't help but look at the time every now and then to see if it's time for my break yet. But it was sorta hard not to respond to the calls to my name. But I managed and got through 4 hours of work. I realised that 30 minute breaks aren't that long but that's something that I don't think I can change. And I also noticed that 2 hours is also not that long. You could do a far bit in 2 hours, but there is also not too much that you can finish in 2 hours so you need to really work hard and get focused if you want to get a lot done.

So...I've also finished my modern history section. I dunno if you've noticed but it's a little shorter in terms of time frame than the rest of the subjects and that's because I only had to complete my half finished essay and that shouldn't need 2 hours. In fact, it took my only an hour to do. Leaving my 30 minutes to spare. Of course, I need to rewrite it out onto the sheet that my teacher gave me but I wanna make sure some of the info towards the end if right so i need to double check with my friend before i do that. And she only goes online at night I think so I'll have to finish the essay during my "unfinished hw" period.

So yeah...with the 30 minutes I had remaining, I decided to extent my break and make it an hour. I really wanted to blog about what I was doing today coz I felt really good about it. Hence, the really quick version of it in the previous post because I was really impatient to wait until now to tell you guys. Of course, once I allowed myself the 1 hour break, I immediately hopped onto my blog and started typing. Don't you guys just feel so loved?

Ha! My little sister a while ago had been asking me what I was doing on my blog instead of working. And when I replied that I had given myself an extra 30 minutes of break time, she has questioned whether I had finished ALL my hw. Pssch...she acts as if she is control of what I do! Meh

Anyways...I think this timetable is really working for me, it's allowing me to get work done and I feel really happy and satisfied!

I should go now, coz I wanna actually do something a little more fun before I go back to work...not that blogging is not fun but...you know...

Bye bye

~Aurora

My Mission

Hey people,

I only have like 4 minutes to write this before I continue my mission so i have to make this brief. I've give you an in depth description of what I am doing in my next break, but for not, i'll just give a brief description.

Basically, I've been sick and tired to not doing any work and procrastinating. I realised that I have very little time left before school starts again and I really need to get work done. So I decided to make myself a little mission, setting time frames in which I have to complete or do certain work. So far it's been going well, I haven't exactly finished anything, but i've been working non stop for 2 hour intervals with half hour breaks in between since 10 am.

It's rather good and i'm being rather productive so that's really good!

Anyways..i better go, i have like 1 minute left before my break is over.

You'll here from me again in 1 and half hours.

For now, adios...is that how you spell it? Meh

The Personality Test

Hello Hello again people.

Gee...I've been blogging an awful lot recently. But whatever. I just did a personality test...for some unknown reason. I think maybe because I want to try to understand myself a little better, and it sorta did help but mostly because I was procrastinating once again. I thought I'd share the results with you guys so you guys can understand me a little more. Though I must say, there are some stuff that I don't believe it's true. So don't believe everything it says.

Read it and see if you agree with what they say. It's rather long though...so it's up to you whether you want to read it or not.

Oh and if you are interested in doing the Personality Test yourselves, I think the website it:

http://www.personalitytest.net/

There were two tests to choose from, one if the orginal and is takes a while to do while the other is a modified version of it. They are both the same, just the number of questions and the time it takes to do is different. For some unknow reason, I took the longer time-consuming test. Don't ask me why coz I honestly don't know.

Well...here are my results:

Extraversion
Extraversion is marked by pronounced engagement with the external world. Extraverts enjoy being with people, are full of energy, and often experience positive emotions. They tend to be enthusiastic, action-oriented, individuals who are likely to say "Yes!" or "Let's go!" to opportunities for excitement. In groups they like to talk, assert themselves, and draw attention to themselves.

Introverts lack the exuberance, energy, and activity levels of extraverts. They tend to be quiet, low-key, deliberate, and disengaged from the social world. Their lack of social involvement should not be interpreted as shyness or depression; the introvert simply needs less stimulation than an extravert and prefers to be alone. The independence and reserve of the introvert is sometimes mistaken as unfriendliness or arrogance. In reality, an introvert who scores high on the agreeableness dimension will not seek others out but will be quite pleasant when approached.

Domain/Facet........... Score
Extraversion...............15
Friendliness.............50
Gregariousness...........28
Assertiveness............14
Activity Level...........17
Excitement-Seeking.......17
Cheerfulness.............10

Your score on Extraversion is low, indicating you are introverted, reserved, and quiet. You enjoy solitude and solitary activities. Your socializing tends to be restricted to a few close friends.

Extraversion Facets
• Friendliness. Friendly people genuinely like other people and openly demonstrate positive feelings toward others. They make friends quickly and it is easy for them to form close, intimate relationships. Low scorers on Friendliness are not necessarily cold and hostile, but they do not reach out to others and are perceived as distant and reserved. Your level of friendliness is average.

• Gregariousness. Gregarious people find the company of others pleasantly stimulating and rewarding. They enjoy the excitement of crowds. Low scorers tend to feel overwhelmed by, and therefore actively avoid, large crowds. They do not necessarily dislike being with people sometimes, but their need for privacy and time to themselves is much greater than for individuals who score high on this scale. Your level of gregariousness is low.

• Assertiveness. High scorers Assertiveness like to speak out, take charge, and direct the activities of others. They tend to be leaders in groups. Low scorers tend not to talk much and let others control the activities of groups. Your level of assertiveness is low.

• Activity Level. Active individuals lead fast-paced, busy lives. They move about quickly, energetically, and vigorously, and they are involved in many activities. People who score low on this scale follow a slower and more leisurely, relaxed pace. Your activity level is low.

• Excitement-Seeking. High scorers on this scale are easily bored without high levels of stimulation. They love bright lights and hustle and bustle. They are likely to take risks and seek thrills. Low scorers are overwhelmed by noise and commotion and are adverse to thrill-seeking. Your level of excitement-seeking is low.

• Cheerfulness. This scale measures positive mood and feelings, not negative emotions (which are a part of the Neuroticism domain). Persons who score high on this scale typically experience a range of positive feelings, including happiness, enthusiasm, optimism, and joy. Low scorers are not as prone to such energetic, high spirits. Your level of positive emotions is low.

Agreeableness
Agreeableness reflects individual differences in concern with cooperation and social harmony. Agreeable individuals value getting along with others. They are therefore considerate, friendly, generous, helpful, and willing to compromise their interests with others'. Agreeable people also have an optimistic view of human nature. They believe people are basically honest, decent, and trustworthy.

Disagreeable individuals place self-interest above getting along with others. They are generally unconcerned with others' well-being, and therefore are unlikely to extend themselves for other people. Sometimes their skepticism about others' motives causes them to be suspicious, unfriendly, and uncooperative.

Agreeableness is obviously advantageous for attaining and maintaining popularity. Agreeable people are better liked than disagreeable people. On the other hand, agreeableness is not useful in situations that require tough or absolute objective decisions. Disagreeable people can make excellent scientists, critics, or soldiers.

Domain/Facet........... Score
Agreeableness..............95
Trust....................85
Morality.................75
Altruism.................63
Cooperation..............82
Modesty..................99
Sympathy.................86

Your high level of Agreeableness indicates a strong interest in others' needs and well-being. You are pleasant, sympathetic, and cooperative.

Agreeableness Facets
• Trust. A person with high trust assumes that most people are fair, honest, and have good intentions. Persons low in trust see others as selfish, devious, and potentially dangerous. Your level of trust is high.

• Morality. High scorers on this scale see no need for pretense or manipulation when dealing with others and are therefore candid, frank, and sincere. Low scorers believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary. People find it relatively easy to relate to the straightforward high-scorers on this scale. They generally find it more difficult to relate to the unstraightforward low-scorers on this scale. It should be made clear that low scorers are not unprincipled or immoral; they are simply more guarded and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth. Your level of morality is high.

• Altruism. Altruistic people find helping other people genuinely rewarding. Consequently, they are generally willing to assist those who are in need. Altruistic people find that doing things for others is a form of self-fulfillment rather than self-sacrifice. Low scorers on this scale do not particularly like helping those in need. Requests for help feel like an imposition rather than an opportunity for self-fulfillment. Your level of altruism is average.

• Cooperation. Individuals who score high on this scale dislike confrontations. They are perfectly willing to compromise or to deny their own needs in order to get along with others. Those who score low on this scale are more likely to intimidate others to get their way. Your level of compliance is high.

• Modesty. High scorers on this scale do not like to claim that they are better than other people. In some cases this attitude may derive from low self-confidence or self-esteem. Nonetheless, some people with high self-esteem find immodesty unseemly. Those who are willing to describe themselves as superior tend to be seen as disagreeably arrogant by other people. Your level of modesty is high.

• Sympathy. People who score high on this scale are tenderhearted and compassionate. They feel the pain of others vicariously and are easily moved to pity. Low scorers are not affected strongly by human suffering. They pride themselves on making objective judgments based on reason. They are more concerned with truth and impartial justice than with mercy. Your level of tender-mindedness is high.

Conscientiousness
Conscientiousness concerns the way in which we control, regulate, and direct our impulses. Impulses are not inherently bad; occasionally time constraints require a snap decision, and acting on our first impulse can be an effective response. Also, in times of play rather than work, acting spontaneously and impulsively can be fun. Impulsive individuals can be seen by others as colorful, fun-to-be-with, and zany.

Nonetheless, acting on impulse can lead to trouble in a number of ways. Some impulses are antisocial. Uncontrolled antisocial acts not only harm other members of society, but also can result in retribution toward the perpetrator of such impulsive acts. Another problem with impulsive acts is that they often produce immediate rewards but undesirable, long-term consequences. Examples include excessive socializing that leads to being fired from one's job, hurling an insult that causes the breakup of an important relationship, or using pleasure-inducing drugs that eventually destroy one's health.

Impulsive behavior, even when not seriously destructive, diminishes a person's effectiveness in significant ways. Acting impulsively disallows contemplating alternative courses of action, some of which would have been wiser than the impulsive choice. Impulsivity also sidetracks people during projects that require organized sequences of steps or stages. Accomplishments of an impulsive person are therefore small, scattered, and inconsistent.
A hallmark of intelligence, what potentially separates human beings from earlier life forms, is the ability to think about future consequences before acting on an impulse. Intelligent activity involves contemplation of long-range goals, organizing and planning routes to these goals, and persisting toward one's goals in the face of short-lived impulses to the contrary. The idea that intelligence involves impulse control is nicely captured by the term prudence, an alternative label for the Conscientiousness domain. Prudent means both wise and cautious. Persons who score high on the Conscientiousness scale are, in fact, perceived by others as intelligent.

The benefits of high conscientiousness are obvious. Conscientious individuals avoid trouble and achieve high levels of success through purposeful planning and persistence. They are also positively regarded by others as intelligent and reliable. On the negative side, they can be compulsive perfectionists and workaholics. Furthermore, extremely conscientious individuals might be regarded as stuffy and boring. Unconscientious people may be criticized for their unreliability, lack of ambition, and failure to stay within the lines, but they will experience many short-lived pleasures and they will never be called stuffy.

Domain/Facet........... Score
Conscientiousness..........32
Self-Efficacy............0
Orderliness..............76
Dutifulness..............68
Achievement-Striving.....20
Self-Discipline..........20
Cautiousness.............53

Your score on Conscientiousness is average. This means you are reasonably reliable, organized, and self-controlled.

Conscientiousness Facets
• Self-Efficacy. Self-Efficacy describes confidence in one's ability to accomplish things. High scorers believe they have the intelligence (common sense), drive, and self-control necessary for achieving success. Low scorers do not feel effective, and may have a sense that they are not in control of their lives. Your level of self-efficacy is low.

• Orderliness. Persons with high scores on orderliness are well-organized. They like to live according to routines and schedules. They keep lists and make plans. Low scorers tend to be disorganized and scattered. Your level of orderliness is high.

• Dutifulness. This scale reflects the strength of a person's sense of duty and obligation. Those who score high on this scale have a strong sense of moral obligation. Low scorers find contracts, rules, and regulations overly confining. They are likely to be seen as unreliable or even irresponsible. Your level of dutifulness is high.

• Achievement-Striving. Individuals who score high on this scale strive hard to achieve excellence. Their drive to be recognized as successful keeps them on track toward their lofty goals. They often have a strong sense of direction in life, but extremely high scores may be too single-minded and obsessed with their work. Low scorers are content to get by with a minimal amount of work, and might be seen by others as lazy. Your level of achievement striving is low.

• Self-Discipline. Self-discipline-what many people call will-power-refers to the ability to persist at difficult or unpleasant tasks until they are completed. People who possess high self-discipline are able to overcome reluctance to begin tasks and stay on track despite distractions. Those with low self-discipline procrastinate and show poor follow-through, often failing to complete tasks-even tasks they want very much to complete. Your level of self-discipline is low.

• Cautiousness. Cautiousness describes the disposition to think through possibilities before acting. High scorers on the Cautiousness scale take their time when making decisions. Low scorers often say or do first thing that comes to mind without deliberating alternatives and the probable consequences of those alternatives. Your level of cautiousness is average.

Neuroticism
Freud originally used the term neurosis to describe a condition marked by mental distress, emotional suffering, and an inability to cope effectively with the normal demands of life. He suggested that everyone shows some signs of neurosis, but that we differ in our degree of suffering and our specific symptoms of distress. Today neuroticism refers to the tendency to experience negative feelings. Those who score high on Neuroticism may experience primarily one specific negative feeling such as anxiety, anger, or depression, but are likely to experience several of these emotions. People high in neuroticism are emotionally reactive. They respond emotionally to events that would not affect most people, and their reactions tend to be more intense than normal. They are more likely to interpret ordinary situations as threatening, and minor frustrations as hopelessly difficult. Their negative emotional reactions tend to persist for unusually long periods of time, which means they are often in a bad mood. These problems in emotional regulation can diminish a neurotic's ability to think clearly, make decisions, and cope effectively with stress.

At the other end of the scale, individuals who score low in neuroticism are less easily upset and are less emotionally reactive. They tend to be calm, emotionally stable, and free from persistent negative feelings. Freedom from negative feelings does not mean that low scorers experience a lot of positive feelings; frequency of positive emotions is a component of the Extraversion domain.

Domain/Facet........... Score
Neuroticism................86
Anxiety..................97
Anger....................46
Depression...............84
Self-Consciousness.......96
Immoderation.............56
Vulnerability............88

Your score on Neuroticism is high, indicating that you are easily upset, even by what most people consider the normal demands of living. People consider you to be sensitive and emotional.

Neuroticism Facets
• Anxiety. The "fight-or-flight" system of the brain of anxious individuals is too easily and too often engaged. Therefore, people who are high in anxiety often feel like something dangerous is about to happen. They may be afraid of specific situations or be just generally fearful. They feel tense, jittery, and nervous. Persons low in Anxiety are generally calm and fearless. Your level of anxiety is high.

• Anger. Persons who score high in Anger feel enraged when things do not go their way. They are sensitive about being treated fairly and feel resentful and bitter when they feel they are being cheated. This scale measures the tendency to feel angry; whether or not the person expresses annoyance and hostility depends on the individual's level on Agreeableness. Low scorers do not get angry often or easily. Your level of anger is average.

• Depression. This scale measures the tendency to feel sad, dejected, and discouraged. High scorers lack energy and have difficult initiating activities. Low scorers tend to be free from these depressive feelings. Your level of depression is high.

• Self-Consciousness. Self-conscious individuals are sensitive about what others think of them. Their concern about rejection and ridicule cause them to feel shy and uncomfortable abound others. They are easily embarrassed and often feel ashamed. Their fears that others will criticize or make fun of them are exaggerated and unrealistic, but their awkwardness and discomfort may make these fears a self-fulfilling prophecy. Low scorers, in contrast, do not suffer from the mistaken impression that everyone is watching and judging them. They do not feel nervous in social situations. Your level or self-consciousness is high.

Immoderation. Immoderate individuals feel strong cravings and urges that they have difficulty resisting. They tend to be oriented toward short-term pleasures and rewards rather than long- term consequences. Low scorers do not experience strong, irresistible cravings and consequently do not find themselves tempted to overindulge. Your level of immoderation is average.

• Vulnerability. High scorers on Vulnerability experience panic, confusion, and helplessness when under pressure or stress. Low scorers feel more poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed. Your level of vulnerability is high.

Openness to Experience
Openness to Experience describes a dimension of cognitive style that distinguishes imaginative, creative people from down-to-earth, conventional people. Open people are intellectually curious, appreciative of art, and sensitive to beauty. They tend to be, compared to closed people, more aware of their feelings. They tend to think and act in individualistic and nonconforming ways. Intellectuals typically score high on Openness to Experience; consequently, this factor has also been called Culture or Intellect. Nonetheless, Intellect is probably best regarded as one aspect of openness to experience. Scores on Openness to Experience are only modestly related to years of education and scores on standard intelligent tests.

Another characteristic of the open cognitive style is a facility for thinking in symbols and abstractions far removed from concrete experience. Depending on the individual's specific intellectual abilities, this symbolic cognition may take the form of mathematical, logical, or geometric thinking, artistic and metaphorical use of language, music composition or performance, or one of the many visual or performing arts. People with low scores on openness to experience tend to have narrow, common interests. They prefer the plain, straightforward, and obvious over the complex, ambiguous, and subtle. They may regard the arts and sciences with suspicion, regarding these endeavors as abstruse or of no practical use. Closed people prefer familiarity over novelty; they are conservative and resistant to change.

Openness is often presented as healthier or more mature by psychologists, who are often themselves open to experience. However, open and closed styles of thinking are useful in different environments. The intellectual style of the open person may serve a professor well, but research has shown that closed thinking is related to superior job performance in police work, sales, and a number of service occupations.

Domain/Facet........... Score
Openness to experience.....14
Imagination..............14
Artistic Interests.......13
Emotionality.............58
Adventurousness..........26
Intellect................7
Liberalism...............35

Your score on Openness to Experience is low, indicating you like to think in plain and simple terms. Others describe you as down-to-earth, practical, and conservative.

Openness Facets
• Imagination. To imaginative individuals, the real world is often too plain and ordinary. High scorers on this scale use fantasy as a way of creating a richer, more interesting world. Low scorers are on this scale are more oriented to facts than fantasy. Your level of imagination is low.

• Artistic Interests. High scorers on this scale love beauty, both in art and in nature. They become easily involved and absorbed in artistic and natural events. They are not necessarily artistically trained nor talented, although many will be. The defining features of this scale are interest in, and appreciation of natural and artificial beauty. Low scorers lack aesthetic sensitivity and interest in the arts. Your level of artistic interests is low.

• Emotionality. Persons high on Emotionality have good access to and awareness of their own feelings. Low scorers are less aware of their feelings and tend not to express their emotions openly. Your level of emotionality is average.

• Adventurousness. High scorers on adventurousness are eager to try new activities, travel to foreign lands, and experience different things. They find familiarity and routine boring, and will take a new route home just because it is different. Low scorers tend to feel uncomfortable with change and prefer familiar routines. Your level of adventurousness is low.

• Intellect. Intellect and artistic interests are the two most important, central aspects of openness to experience. High scorers on Intellect love to play with ideas. They are open-minded to new and unusual ideas, and like to debate intellectual issues. They enjoy riddles, puzzles, and brain teasers. Low scorers on Intellect prefer dealing with either people or things rather than ideas. They regard intellectual exercises as a waste of time. Intellect should not be equated with intelligence. Intellect is an intellectual style, not an intellectual ability, although high scorers on Intellect score slightly higher than low-Intellect individuals on standardized intelligence tests. Your level of intellect is low.

• Liberalism. Psychological liberalism refers to a readiness to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. In its most extreme form, psychological liberalism can even represent outright hostility toward rules, sympathy for law-breakers, and love of ambiguity, chaos, and disorder. Psychological conservatives prefer the security and stability brought by conformity to tradition. Psychological liberalism and conservatism are not identical to political affiliation, but certainly incline individuals toward certain political parties. Your level of liberalism is average.

And that's it my folks. I congratulate you if you have managed to read all that got to the bottom of it to actually read this end message.

Have a lovely day

Pictures of flowers

Hello again guys.

As I had told me friend the early hours of the morning, I have now uploaded photos of flowers.

These are photos which I have taken...when I was bored, and which all, I didn't even realise, are from my house. They aren't the best quality and some might just be really plain boring. But meh.

On another note, I woke up pretty late today and lied in bed reading a book which I had been meaning to finish a while back. It was very immersing and at one point, very steamy *wiggles eyebrows*. haha... I was so immersed in it that I didn't even realise I had stayed in bed until 2PM! I only realised the time when I got out of my room to go eat. Hehe...I had a very unhealthy breakfast of KFC. But again...meh :P

Anyways, I'd better go and do some work. I hope you enjoyed the photos

The pictures i like to take

I dunno if i've ever told you guys this, but I actually love taking pictures of scenery, especially nice ones. When i'm bored, when i see something that i just really wanna capture or when i just wanna take pictures, I love to take it of the scenery because it's still, it's calm.

These are the pictures which I took when I went to Carmen's house and me, Carmen, Jenny and Helen went down to the nearby Bay. It was very calming and relaxing and I was able to take these photos.

Now...I know it's not anything spectacular but it was fun to take. It's had little touch ups thanks to Windows Live Photo Gallery, which has helped enhance the scale of colouring, darkening it or lightening it and stuff like that. That thing is really useful at times! But sometimes it ruins the effect of it so I just leave the photos the way they are. I haven't photoshopped it or anything so they are just pure photos. Some of them...I don't even know what angle i took them in so they might be upside down or something :P

But yeah...this is just some of the photos I like to take. I'll upload more...maybe tomorrow.

Enjoy :)

Your family is most important

Hey people.

I know it's been a long time. But honestly, I haven't had the inspiration to write anything and it's better to have inspiration and write something that's worth reading than to just post any old information that doesn't even matter at all.

I should probably do the "7 things" that I was tagged to do but I'll do it another time.

Today, I felt like talking about families. This spur of an idea was inspired by last night's movie which i borrowed and watched called "The Land of Women". I can't say it was the best film, because honestly, it wasn't, but it did have some really good themes in there that made me want to talk about in this blog. While I was hanging out the laundry, my brain started to think of things to say and yeah...here I am now, trying to write all the wonderful thoughts that I had made up outside. I probably won't remember all of it but I think I got the gist of it. Whatever, I'll just write whatever comes to mind

So Family....

This holiday, I've surrounded myself around my family...not that I really had a choice, seeing as no one really invited me to go out other than my family but that's besides the point (I know I sound like I total loner but meh)

Anyways..back to family. I've come to a realisation that family is really important. They're the people that know you the best and who have got your best interest at heart. And most of all, they are the people who you fall back into when you find that there is no one else out there that really cares about you, who understands you.

Of course, I understand that this isn't the case for some people. I know that not all families are perfect. I'm definately not saying that they have your best interest at heart by hitting you and abusing you. But I'm talking about the other families. The ones who actually do care about you and allow you to find yourself, supporting you every step of the way. And maybe, sometimes they may not approve of the things that you do and end up in huge arguments, because no family is perfect, but they will be there for you when things get really bad, when you find that you have no one else to turn to because in the end, they are your family. You guys are families and nothing can change that.

I know some people believe that friendship is more important than families, due to their own experiences and I fully understand that. This is not some sort of preaching thing where I am advising you that Family is Important and should be your priority. This is just something that I was thinking about and wanted to share.

As I was saying...friendship could be very important and in some ways, it is. But can friendships last forever? Some can. I really believe that some can. There are just some friendships that are so strong that despite what happens, will never break, will never waver. But then there are also some that do. Some that turn out so ugly that there is no turning back. Someone that you've known for the longest time, just gone, just like that. Friendships can be like that. Sometimes when you really really desparately need them, they can never be there for you because there are these barriers that they have to overcome in order to get there and sometimes, it's just not possible to overcome them. When you get into a huge argument, sometimes, it gets so bad that it's just too hard to cope you just end up never seeing that person again. They are out of your life and will only become a distant memory, something that can be replaced by another person.

But it's not that easy with families. Your family are the people you grew up with. The people who knew when you first took your first step, when you started to speak, the people you went to when you were bullied, the ones who knew the number of times you wet yourself in your pants. The arguments you will have with them, may be pointless, may be important, may be small, may be large, but at the end of the day, you will always forgive them because they are family. No matter how bad they hurt you, how much their words hurt you, you will never ever turn your back on them because in the end, you may be the only thing that they have left, the only thing that's left for them to keep sane, to not cross over to the dark side and do silly things. No matter what happens, you will always manage to get through it because you are family, because they are the people who you grew up with, who you are familiar with. People that can't be replaced, no matter how far and wide you look.

If you think about, don't you name your most important people your family? The one you love, the one you will live for, till death do you part, you call your husband. Your best friend, one that you have know your entire life and knows you inside out, you would say that they are like your sister or your brother. Someone older than you who you find you have a really really strong connection to, you would say that they are like your mother or your father. So my next point is that, family doesn't mean the people you are directly related to by blood. If they are, then they are definately your family, but if they aren't, they can still be your family without having to somehow transfuse bloods together in order to become blood related...not that I've ever heard of anyone doing that...coz that's a little strange.

But yeah...at the end of the day, I believe that family is most important.

So today, or whenever you can, make sure you really cherish your family. You don't have to do anything extravagant, it's the little things that really mean the most anyways. Because you never know what may happen in the future. And forget the past, the awful things that either of you have said. Live in the present and really get to know your family, because you never know what you might find ;) and just because

Family is most important :)
